Eco-Artist

Ana Violeta Horta is a Mexican-American Eco Artist living the border life between San Diego and Tijuana. In her multicultural life, she has also lived in London, Boston, Monterrey, Saltillo, Ensenada and Austin to work, study and enjoy the corporate and art world. Eventually everything changed when she had  to modify everything when she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis by adapting her life in a way that her passion of creating art would not suffer. Using her creativity and ingenuity to include different natural materials used from centuries ago and modern practices she has developed her own art style making her own sustainable paint with natural ingredients.

After 20 years of experience in the sustainable energy industry and education on sustainability and circular economies, she has prioritized that her art practice has a reduced carbon footprint compared to traditional art making processes.
